adobo adik!

"ADOBO AGAIN" ???!!!! i think it is my eternal question.

... i'm not a kitchen person but when you are away from home you gotta learn how to cook somehow. i only learned or should i say started trying 2 years ago, hehe. i don't cook for parties or guests. i'm not that confident of my dish. i'm just cooking when i miss Filipino food. there is no way that i can find them here aside from a friends' house (: so it is a must to cook them myself.

... my bf likes adobo very much. and for almost 3 weeks i've been cooking adobo. oh please pardon me but i'm afraid that it's gonna come out of my nose already. we'll i've been favored for a day or two maybe when he made me mashed potato and i've been allowed to cook another dish. what's so special about adobo? i don't know. maybe it's the same when i will be asking for "borshch" (my favorite Russian soup) everyday.

... adobo usually does not have potatoes but we like it like this. some of my friends when they cook adobo they put hard boiled egg instead of potatoes, others don't. typical adobo is made of a little bit bigger slices of meat than this one i made. mostly it is fatty but my bf doesn't like fat so i chopped them smaller so they won't be much visible because i prefer it with some fat. it is best with dark soy sauce, a little of white vinegar, and a small scoop of sugar. plus all the little condiments like laurel leaf, pepper, garlic and onions. then it's ready to go and get addicted with. (:
