Photography is not merely having a camera, it must be a good one. it is not just taking shot of someone, something or some place. it is having the talent to choose the best sight and the skills to take the best angle. photographers can make a beautiful picture of something which might look very usual in actual. a photo taken by a good photographer usually expresses more than what it was before photographed. pictures in this post are my personal favorites. they were not taken by me 'cause i don't have the skills. Shamil took them. i have a good eye of appreciation though. i admire unique moments, landscapes, seascapes, cityviews and the wonders of nature mostly. that's all i do - admire and get inspired! (:there are maybe thousands of pictures similar to these, might be even more beautiful but these ones, i keep close to my heart 'cause some of them, i personally requested to be photographed. i was present when they were taken. i felt those very moments. and it always reminds me that there is a lot to see in this world, a lot of wonderful creations and magical moments.

i used to have classes in an islet somewhere close to Qingdao University. it was an early morning class which is not very pleasant for me but i felt favored after discovering that everytime i go there i'd witness such a beautiful sunrise. sometimes old boats are there floating, which give more fascination to the view. old boats which were probably used by fishermen who are at rest in the daytime and the beautiful sunrise suggests serenety to the view. i dragged Shamil there one saturday morning to witness and document the scenery. and hoolah this is it! a very refreshing view to start a day.
i always thought that only in countrysides you'll be able to find the beauty of nature. but i was wrong, it is everywhere even in the crowded cities. you just have to find the right spot and the right timing. it was an afternoon after my jogging session (which actually happened once only hehe). a street along the sea close to naval museum was this view taken. it was an ordinary day, people passing by all the time, cars mobilizing as usual, seagulls were on the water when we got there, we're supposed to take the moment they flew away but unfortunately we were not able to. result is still fantastic though.
still stream. this used to be a slowly flowing water. it was frozen by the temperature. the view gives two different feelings in different times. one when it's frozen, another when it flowing. sometimes it is necessary to take a moment, pause, reflect and come back renewed.
a place doesn't need to be beautiful itself to find wonders in it. Linyi is not a very big and developed city but this is one of the spots which caught my attention. it takes only a little effort to drag your feet and be there at the moment when the day turns to night. i love the natural colour combination of sky. see that tiny little thing at the middle? that's me freezing. it was very cold but it was worth waiting and posing there.
a night at the rooftop in Taytay, Rizal. we decided to catch a fresh air on the rooftop after a long hot day. i felt in love with the sky at once. it was too good to miss. we spent few minutes admiring and making pictures of it. it feels good to see nights like this. it feels kinda romantic despite of the city noise. this serves as our remembrance of our 2 month-vacation in the Philippines. there accross from us is a typical neighborhood view. school pants hanging on the window probably being dried for the next days use. (:
Qingdao at night. i spent three years in Qingdao but i've never seen it as beautiful as this. it was Christmas eve, we were having coffee at some bar on the top of a building in the downtown. we went there when the sun was still up and we witnessed as the city was slowly darkened and lightened again. man-made creations are undeniably impressive too.
