A'ight, brace yourself 'cause i'll be attaching many pictures on this post, maybe more than what i will narrate hehe. I was soooo grateful to the weather on this day. It was just perfect! We were scheduled to go to the Temple of Heaven- one of the most beautiful and historical places I've ever been to (so far). We were waiting for a sunny weather to get to this place. We knew it'll be colorful and it'll look great on pictures if it would be sunny. And now, it was granted ",)
The Temple of Heaven - was completed during the Ming dynasty. It encompasses a large sacrificial altar known as the Qinian Dian (Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest), the Imperial Vault of Heaven and many ancillary buildings, all set in a landscaped park.

just as it is in the picture. this is the Qinian Dian - where the emperor would make sacrifices and pray to the heaven and his ancestors.
on the top of the temple is a name plaque often written in a calligraphy of an emperor
inside is the altar where the symbolic offerings are vaguely seen
the colorful walls around the temple. blue represents the color of sky
red is the imperial color
full of colors, full of details. so aesthetic.
the Dragon Well Pillars represent seasons while smaller pillars symbolize the months in a year
plus12 two-hour time periods in a day. (wow! i was trying to see all those details)
the Dragon and Phoenix Motifs are also visible. they are found inside and out to represent the emperor and the empress.
there were more symbolic designs from the inside but tourists aren't allowed to get in.
on the top is the Golden Finial. it is 125f (38m) high and prone to lightning strikes
surrounded with the 5-bay structure which are designated as gates gates.
the stairway is composed of three platforms
on the second platform are the dragon heads which serves as guards
on the second platform are the fish head dragons. i'm not sure what they are, they look like fish and a dragon. there was no tablet to describe what was it so i can't figure out.
on the top platform are pillars carved with dragons
