the far-flung village of Yi Dao

... this isn't our recent travel. it was last year's. but it was my first countryside experience (in China). it was a great experience seeing Chinese houses of the ancient time.

... this is some kinda peanut roaster. we saw it on the street with some "Ayie" who refused to be in the picture because she said she's not ready for it. we understand, she wanted to look nicer in the picture (:

... icicles. i sent this picture to my friends in the Philippines telling them that here, ice is for free. 'cause in the Philippines we buy and sell ice. (: there are some households without a fridge so if they want to drink something cold they gotta buy ice.

... another backdrop natural and found in the location just as it is. Shamil's jacket looks like a camouflage of the wall though hehe.

... everybody knows everybody and they treat one another as a part of a big family. we gate-crased in a wedding ad was welcomed.

... i have always been mistaken as Chinese because of my eyes they said. well, see for yourself... (",)
... she's a nice kid. she was my student's student.

nota bene: more of these pictures in my facebook account albums.
