Remains of the 19th century

Every city is built beautifully in its own time. As time goes by, as generations come and go, the city itself has to undergo certain changes no matter how sentimental people are of their times.


We went to the old part Kazan city where all old buildings of the early 19th century were built. They were there looking old but still sturdy. They said that part of the city will be destroyed soon. New buildings will be constructed, a new place will take over. 


I am happy to come at this time when they still remain undestroyed. I feel that I have seen a part of their old city, not only in the pictures but with my bare eyes.

this one's the backyard. that kinda triangular fenced area is for animal, he's got some ducks or chicken maybe

a house nearby which was burned by accident. they didn't restore it since the place will be demolished soon anyway

I love this one. it's an old private mansion which was built before Soviet Union. During Soviet Union era, it became a "House of Writers". 

I love the architecture, the details on the pillars, the antique door and the design on the fence and gate. Awesome. 

These building and houses are just some of the old ones and still existing. There are some in some other parts of the city.
