in the name of vanity (part two)

this is the continuation of my cosmetics review. it's winter and i'm idling here so i decided to clean up my collection and decide which to continue using, which to change and which to throw away.

SCENTS. i don't consume much of perfume since i came to China. i don't know, just nobody much uses them here. and sometimes i just like smelling mild with my lotion and shampoo. but i like perfumes. the most recent i got is this "euphoria" by calvin klien... and unfortunately i stopped using it. i feel that it's kinda strong. it smells good yes but it irritates me a little bit. i think i just want a new one lol. naaah, the thing is i think i just got the wrong choice. when my "shine" by salvatore ferragamo was empty, i went to the shop with sham and a friend. i was looking for the other ferragamo i used before. i thought i was looking for "shine" but actually it was "charm". 'twas my bad i didn't make sure before leaving the house. the guy has "bliss" which is apparently the latest in the collection but i kinda didn't like it 'cause it a little too sweet as for me. i had once had this "dream" and at first i like it but at the end of the day i end up feeling dizzy of my own smell. 'twas strong. i only used it twice and i gave it to a friend as a birthday present hahah sorry, but really it was even barely used. ohhh i want to have ferragamo, hush, but i was actually hoping that my bf will get me one for Valentines but he just spilled his Valentine present to me the other day hahah. there is no more surprise but i think i like it more hehehe and i can't wait till we get it. hmm as for now it's a secret. i'll post it as soon as i have it, promise! anyway, i can get myself another ferragamo in march.

but ugh i gotta finish this euphoria first. i thought i'd like it. i was just rattled that day 'cause we're leaving already and still i haven't chosen any and ... it was purple lol. call me stupid, right but i was engrossed with purples those days. whew, i gotta finish this though. at least that is how i discipline myself from spending. :)

oh, the third one in the picture is lacoste (eau de toilette). it wasn't really on plan to get that, we just saw it on sale and we both like the scent so we got it. and we were both using it. expectedly we finished it very fast :))) they don't have it in the shop. it wasn't the latest but i really like the smell. fresh and cool. i'd get one if i;ll see the same kind again.

HAIR CARE. i just grabbed them out of my bathroom now. i have been trying so many different shampoos and conditioners both expensive and cheap and finally i stopped in these brands. my hair is not super sensitive but it does choose a brand. i like this "Double Rich" (korean brand) 'cause it makes my hair really bouncy. "Schkwarzkopf" gives a silky feel and i like their scents. the purple ones are my travel buddies. but not anymore now that i got my hair curled last new year. this purple is specially for "asian straight" (as they labelled it). "Vidal Sasson"  deep conditioner keep my hair healthy. i had the same feeling already way back in high school years when VS appeared in Phils but late i don't know what happened but they were gone totally. even when i went home in 2008, i still didn't see any of their products. From time to time i had to get my hair treated with a VS treatment -that one in small tube. and it gets shinier and more like alive. i like VS's 'cause it keeps the "body" of the hair.

 "VS hair spray". it was a mistake. i thought it was a light spray. it's a "spray net". i remember in 80's i guess when people use a spray nets to set their hair. i did at times i guess. but since the start of the campaign to stop using them because they destroy the ozone layer, i stopped also. sometimes i still use it when i brush my hair up so it'll keep tidy. "Schkwarzkopf  cashmere touch spray". this one is the light one. it increases the silkiness of the hair and keeps from getting the hair tangled. "Spuit" hair serum. i don't know how to pronounce the name. i just got it from the Korean hair saloon where i had my hair curled. it's ok, not too oily. helps me out in setting my curls or locks. just that i always smell like fresh from hair saloon...'cause that's what they are using there.

DURU glycerine soap. hahaha i'm not using it. i just got it from the shop 'cause i like the smell so now it serves as an air freshener  in my bath. i tried it the first time i bought and i didn't really like it much. nothing good (except for the scent) and nothing much bad too. we don't have it in Phils but my bf said it's actually a very usual cheap soap in Europe. that is why maybe there is nothing much to say about what it does to the user :)




btw, this is just a personal review which i wish to share to friends. no offense to the users and non-users of the brand mentioned. the effects of the said products still varies from one user to another. this one is all that i can say.
